Faith and the Fire

This poem came to me during sacrament meeting.

Faith is like a living thing
Not like a piece of twine or string
To strengthen faith, to fill with fire
To bring about that great desire
The Spirit will at once require

An open mind, a willing heart
To bring you to a world apart
There call on His great holy Name
To add to the eternal flame
Yet if you turn from him in shame

The flame that once was strong and bright
Will yet become the dimmest light
For if you rob the king of kings
You will kill the still, small, living thing
Faith, its testimony yet to bring
